29 January 2013
Meeting Time: 08.15 - 10.00
We opened our 2013 programme by welcoming Roger Bootle of Capital Economics who set the economic scene for the coming year and focused on the Euro and Europe.
Roger’s expertise and insight in this area was formally recognised earlier this year when it was announced that his work on the Euro had won the Wolfson Economics Prize.
Content from Roger's presentation included:
- Will the euro survive?
- If so, what shape will Europe take?
- If not, what will Europe look like?
- General Q&A discussion of domestic / international economic prospects
- and the implications for business.
Roger’s widely acclaimed book ‘The Trouble with Markets’ has recently been updated and expanded to comprehend the work recognised by the Wolfson judges.
