Dame Tessa Jowell MP

Tessa Jowell served as a Minister throughout the last Labour Government, 8 of 13 years in the Cabinet, and has represented Dulwich andWest Norwood as Member of Parliament since 1992. As Secretary of State for the Department for Culture,Media and Sport (2001-07) she is known particularly for pioneering London’s successful bid for the Olympic Games in 2012 and served on the Olympic Board for the 10 year duration of the Olympic and Paralympics project. In 2012 Tessa was made a Dame for her political and charitable services.
